Effortless Maintenance, Lasting Results

Easy Maintenance

One of the significant advantages of microshading is its long-term ease of maintenance. Unlike microblading, which involves precise hair-like strokes, microshaded brows require minimal touch-ups. The pigment fades more evenly over time, resulting in a more natural-looking transition. Additionally, microshading is a less invasive procedure, making it gentler on the skin and reducing the likelihood of scarring. Enjoy the peace of mind knowing that your brows will remain flawlessly filled-in with less maintenance and a more comfortable experience.

Say Goodbye to Patchy Brows or Uneven Brows

Filled-In Perfection

If you struggle with patchy or uneven brows, microshading can be a transformative solution. The technique allows our skilled artists to create a more filled-in and even appearance, covering any gaps or sparse areas with precision. By carefully layering the pigment, we can achieve a beautifully dense and symmetrical look that enhances your facial features. Say hello to brows that are no longer a source of frustration but a focal point of confidence, thanks to the artistry of microshading.

Embrace Your Unique Skin Type

Skin-Friendly Solution

Microshading is a game-changer for those with skin types that are not ideal for microblading. Whether you have oily, sensitive, or mature skin, microshading is forgiving and adaptable. The technique involves depositing pigment in a gentle, stippling motion, creating a soft, powdered effect that blends seamlessly with your skin. Say goodbye to concerns about the longevity of your brow enhancement and hello to brows that stay beautifully defined, regardless of your skin type.

DIY Ombre Brows Tip:

Ombre Brows at Home

Are unsure sure if you’re ready to commit to ombré brows with us? Not a problem—you can mimic this trendy brow look with the help of makeup!

REMOVE ANY MAKEUP

Begin by making sure you’re starting with clean, bare brows. Saturate a cotton pad with a good cleanser and sweep it over your eyebrows to remove any traces of leftover makeup.

MARK YOUR SHAPE

Using a nude eyeliner, draw small dots where the beginning, arch, and end of your brows should be. Align the pencil so that it’s parallel to the bridge of your nose to find the ideal starting point for your eyebrows. Then, angle the pencil so that it goes through your iris. This is where your arch should be. Finally, angle the pencil so that it’s aligned with the outer corner of your eye. This is where the end of your brow should be.

FILL IN YOUR BROWS

Using eyebrow powder and an angled brush, begin to fill in your eyebrows. Start by filling in your entire eyebrow with a very light hand. Then, build the color up at the middle and ends of your brow, so that the end is the darkest. Use your fingertip or a small tapered eyeshadow brush to blend out any harsh lines for a seamless, ombré brow look.

FINISH WITH AN OIL-FREE SETTING SPRAY

Spritz on a good quality oil-free makeup setting spray to ensure your eyebrow makeup stays put all day and night.

Enjoy Your Ombre Brows!

Our personalized “boutique” service focuses entirely on you, and we take as much time as needed to ensure that you get the best possible result.

Most Microshading, also know as powder and ombre brow, appointments take about three hours on average from start to finish. When you first arrive, we will discuss your existing eyebrows and your desired outcome. We will focus on achieving the desired shape first. Our artist, who has a background as a professional makeup artist, will offer advice on what may work best for your features and face, but you will have the final say on everything.

The design will be pre-drawn on your face. We will review and make adjustments as needed until you are completely satisfied with the drawing. We will take as much time as necessary during this stage to ensure we achieve a result that pleases you. We will also review color tone and shade options. Once the design meets your satisfaction and you approve it, we will apply numbing cream, and you can relax while it takes effect.

The procedure itself typically takes 45 to 60 minutes. Afterward, we will provide you with oral and written aftercare instructions and information about a “perfecting session”, which is usually scheduled for 30 to 90 days after the initial procedure.

    • Does Microshading hurt?

The scabbing is usually minimal for microblading, but heavier for Microshading (powder or ombre brows) or combination brows.

Our goal is for you to have the best microblading outcome possible. Detailed written aftercare instruction will be provided to you as well as explained in detail by your artist.

    • Is there parking at your location?

There is a parking garage at our building located at 333 E 49th Street, Manhattan. Rates vary according to day, time, and length of stay. There are additional parking garages throughout the neighborhood. Unfortunately street parking can often be very difficult to come by in NYC.

    • Which subway stations are nearest to your office?

We are conveniently located in midtown Manhattan East, Manhattan. Our office is just a 15 minute walk from Grand Central Station. We are also an 8 minute walk from the Lexington Avenue 51st or 53rd Street Station.

    • Do you offer classes or training?

We are flattered to receive this question quite frequently, but unfortunately, we do not offer any Microshading classes or training sessions. At our inception, we made a decision to prioritize our clients' needs and ensure that our focus remains solely on providing them with the best possible service, and our commitment to this philosophy remains steadfast to this day.

    • Is Microshading painful?

Pain perception varies from person to person, but it's important to note that microshading is generally well-tolerated. The procedure involves the use of a digital machine to deposit small dots of pigment into the skin, creating a soft, shaded look for your eyebrows. To ensure your comfort, a topical anesthetic cream is applied to the eyebrow area before the procedure begins. This numbing cream significantly minimizes any sensation you might feel.

During the procedure, clients often describe the sensation as a light buzzing or tingling rather than outright pain. You may also feel a slight vibration from the machine, but this is usually not described as painful. Our trained professionals are skilled at making the experience as comfortable as possible for you.

      Additonal Information:

It's worth noting that individual pain tolerance and even factors like the menstrual cycle can influence the level of discomfort you may feel.

Anxiety and fear can also amplify the perception of pain. We recommend relaxation techniques such as deep breathing to help ease any nervousness before the procedure.

After the procedure, proper aftercare is crucial. We provide detailed instructions to help manage any discomfort and ensure optimal results.

    • I will be visiting NYC for a short time. Can I still get Microshading?

If you will be in NYC for at least 4 weeks, we can schedule both your initial Microshading appointment the follow-up perfecting appointment withing that time-frame.  If you will be in New York City for less than 4 weeks, we can delay your follow-up perfecting appointment until you have the opportunity to return. This is not the most ideal situation, honestly, but we have many clients who can only visit NY annually and do not want to trust their face with anyone else. We can accomdate most situations and make it work.

    • Can you do Microshading on a minor?

It is violation of Section 260.21 of New York State Penal Law to tattoo minors under the age of 18, regardless of parental consent

    • What are the differences between Microshading and Microblading?

This is a common question! Please check out our guide on Microblading vs Microshading

    • What is the difference between Microshading, Powder Brows and Ombre Brows?

In most ways they are essentialy the same. There are some who refer to Microshading as a combination of shading and microblading. We typically refer to this as "Combo Brows" or "Combination Brows". Ombre Brows puts more emphasis on the Ombre effect, which is to gradually deposit pigment from lighter to darker shades in order to achieve a gradient effect that adds depth and dimension to the eyebrows. We always incorporate this to varying degrees in our Microshading because we do not feel comfortable providing a "blocked out" look, as it is generally not flattering. The Powder Brows term emphasizes the effect of mimicing the look of eyebow powder makeup. The bottom line is that these terms all share the same or very similar desired outcome and overall effect.
